Seventh Wave is neither a traditional consulting company nor a traditional contract research organization. Our company offers advisory and laboratory services in preclinical drug development in the form of pharmacology model development, pharmacokinetics and exploratory safety evaluation; the principal goal being to identify attributes of potential therapeutic agents that predict success or failure in a clinical setting.

Our approach to preclinical drug discovery and development is grounded in the concept that an understanding of the activity (whether desired or undesired) of a novel pharmaceutical agent begins by knowing the effect of the molecule on the biological system and the effect of the biological system on the molecule.

We believe that in most instances, attributes for success or failure of novel chemicals are identified with studies in whole organisms, rather than in isolated components of organisms (i.e. tissue or cell culture). This is why our approach emphasizes the blending of chemistry and biology, resulting in real answers rather than predictive screens.

Our goal is to provide essential expertise and capacity to progress the client’s program along the continuum from Discovery Research through Exploratory Development.
